MS girl basketball players: You have pictures after school today. You need to have your order form and payment. Middle School has concessions for Friday night's game. If you are available to work, please sign up on Mrs. Ramel's door. Students 15 or older who would like to apply at Black Hawk Lake can pick up an application in the office or check your email from Mrs. Hesseling. Applications are due March 1st and can be mailed, emailed, or dropped off at the park office.

NEWS BULLETIN February 8, 2022 The bus for the MSWR meet at Mineral Point leaves at 3:15. Please release at 3:10. Good luck everyone! The meet begins at 4:15. Congratulations to all the middle school band and choir students who participated in Solo/Ensemble last night! 26 of our events brought home first place and 7 of our events brought home second place. You made Highland proud! Congratulations to the Boys’ basketball teams on their win over Riverdale! Great job guys! The bus for the GB game against Richland Center leaves at 4:45. Good luck girls! There will be a short Forensics meeting in the library at 3:15 today. Any MS & HS students who would like to wear a hat or hood on Thursday, can pay $1.00 for each hour you would like to wear it. The proceeds will be donated to Gavin Gochenaur who was injured in a skiing accident. Please try to have dollar bills with you on Thursday or the correct change to pay your 1st hour teacher for the whole day. Elementary students: If you would like to wear a hat on Thursday, bring 1 dollar to give to your teacher.

Congratulations to Katelyn Esser, who scored her 1000th point last night in a BIG win over Wauzeka-Steuben. Katelyn is only the second Lady Cardinal to accomplish this amazing goal. Well done, Katelyn. All of Cardinal Country is very proud of you!

THANK YOU! Senior Maya Tarrell would like to thank the Highland Lions Club, Fillback Ford, and the Highland Booster Club for their recent generous donations toward her senior exit project. Maya has created a Story Walk project! Story Walks encourage reading as well as physical activity. Two Story Walks were completed this fall and were placed on school grounds for students and families to enjoy. Thanks to the newest donations, Maya will be able to provide several additional Story Walks this spring. Here is a sneak peek of the new books for the spring!

To Darlington and Highland Communities, My name is Malayna Fredericks and I am a senior at Highland High School. As a part of my Senior Exit Project, I am raising money for Hodgkin's Lymphoma awareness in honor of the late Aaron Lancaster. Mr. Lancaster was a teacher, guidance counselor, and a coach at Highland for 10 years, as well as a graduate, a principal, and a community member of the Darlington Community. All money raised will be donated to the Iowa County Cancer Coalition in Mr. Lancaster’s name. On Saturday, January 15th, the Varsity girls and boys basketball teams will be playing a double-header in Highland and will wear the Hodgkin’s Lymphoma awareness t-shirts during warmups. State Football tickets MUST be purchased online. There will be NO cash sales. All tickets must be redeemed on a mobile device. For those attending the Middle School Boys’ Basketball game Thursday, please be aware that River Ridge now has a masking requirement.
